We are a fast-growing, specialized therapy group practice serving Northern Virginia and the Washington, DC area, seeking experienced trauma therapists to join our EMDR team in our premium Arlington, VA office and early career trauma therapists looking to take their career to the next level.

Our trauma therapy services by our independently licensed clinicians, are offered as a premium self-pay specialty, allowing clinicians to focus on meaningful, depth-oriented work while being compensated at the highest level. We currently have 5 other EMDR therapists on the team with full caseloads.

Specialization Focus:

We are seeking clinicians already trained in EMDR or experienced trauma therapists motivated to specialize in EMDR. Our team specializes in

  • EMDR Therapy for Trauma & PTSD

  • Complex Trauma & Developmental Trauma

  • Relational Trauma & Attachment Wounds

  • Recovery from Sexual violence and Sexual abuse

  • Medical Trauma & Birth Trauma

  • Trauma in High-Functioning Professionals

  • Culturally Responsive EMDR for Racial Trauma

Responsibilities:

  • Provide high-quality trauma therapy using EMDR and other evidence-based approaches.

  • Build strong therapeutic alliances with clients.

  • Develop individualized treatment plans and monitor progress.

  • Conduct consultations for clients referred by the practice.

  • Collaborate with psychiatrists or other providers when appropriate.

  • Maintain timely documentation, progress notes, and treatment plans.

Who We’re Looking For:

Licensure: LPC, LMFT, LCSW, LICSW, PhD, or PsyD licensed in Virginia (required). DC license a plus. LGPC or LGSW therapists with atleast 1 year of post-graduation experience in trauma therapy will be considered.

Experience: Mid-career clinicians with training and prior experience providing EMDR therapy AND Early career candidates who have experience in other modalities for Trauma Therapy who want to get training in EMDR after joining. Early career candidates will only be considered for a full time position and practice will provide EMDR training through a certified organization.

*Fresh grads will not be considered for this position, please refer to our other Holistic Psychotherapist job posting if you’re a fresh grad. You’ll still be able to choose the trauma and EMDR specialization track in that position.)

Preference for:

  • Therapists trained in EMDR

  • Independently licensed experienced trauma therapists

  • Therapists licensed in VA and DC and/or MD

  • Clinicians with mindfulness-based or holistic therapy orientation

Compensation & Benefits:

Competitive Pay:
$115–$175 per session for pert-time therapists, based on therapists experience.

For Full-time therapists (Caseload of 24+ sessions per week) Compensation Package of 78k+ with paid leave, training benefits and a telecommunications allowance.

Individual and group supervision for LPC licensure in DC & VA included for LGPC and LGSW therapists.

Specialized Training: Training benefits, including fully funded trainings in EMDR therapy for full time therapists and training allowances for Part-time Therapists to further specialize in a niche.

The ideal candidate must have experience providing trauma therapy and EMDR therapy and already be trained in EMDR therapy, having completed their Basic EMDR training. Candidates who have experience in other modalities for Trauma Therapy who want to get training in EMDR after joining will be considered for a full time position and practice will provide EMDR training through a certified organization.
